UDID Card 2023: The “Unique ID for Persons with Disabilities” project is starting execution with a view to creating a national database for PwDs and issuing a unique Disability Identity Card to each person with a disability by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt of India. The project will not only encourage transparency, efficiency, and ease of delivery. Government benefits disabled person but also ensure equability.
The project will also help in streamlining the tracking of the physical and financial progress of beneficiaries at all levels of the hierarchy of execution – village level, block level, district level, and state level. , and national level.
The main objective of this project is to enable the PwDs to obtain the new UDID / Disability Certificate to avail of schemes and benefits.

Unique Disabilities ID Benefits
Disability Certificate will bring a host of below-mentioned benefits for persons with disabilities:
- Persons with disabilities will not be required to make multiple copies and maintain and carry multiple documents as the card will contain all the necessary details which can be decoded with the help of a reader.
- UDID card will be a single document of identification, and verification of disabled to avail various benefits in future

- विकलांग व्यक्तियों (पीडब्ल्यूडी) ने सभी राज्यों/केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों से विकलांगता प्रमाणपत्र/यूडीआईडी कार्ड के लिए ऑनलाइन आवेदन करना शुरू कर दिया है।
- सभी सफलतापूर्वक सबमिट किए गए आवेदनों के लिए एक नामांकन/आवेदन पंजीकरण संख्या उत्पन्न की जाएगी।
- आवेदक को नामांकन/आवेदन पंजीकरण संख्या के साथ एसएमएस पुष्टिकरण भेजा जाएगा
- जिन आवेदकों के पास विकलांगता प्रमाण पत्र नहीं है, उन्हें मूल्यांकन के लिए निकटतम सीएमओ कार्यालय में आने की तारीख और समय के साथ एक एसएमएस प्राप्त होगा।
- मूल्यांकन और सत्यापन के बाद विकलांगता प्रमाण पत्र/यूडीआईडी कार्ड ऑनलाइन जनरेट किया जाएगा
- यूडीआईडी नंबर के आवंटन के साथ आवेदक को एसएमएस पुष्टिकरण भेजा जाएगा
नामांकन/आवेदन पंजीकरण संख्या द्वारा आवेदन की स्थिति की ऑनलाइन जांच की जा सकती है

UDID Card Apply
Disability Certificate & UDID Card can be applied through the four steps Personal Details, Disability Details, Employment Details, and Identity Details. Let’s have a look.
- First of all, Visit the main webpage i.e. https://www.swavlambancard.gov.in/
- Thereafter, Find the “Apply for Disability Certificate & UDID” Link.
- Click on that link and fill applicant’s personal information.
- Click on the next button.
- After that, Fill applicant’s disability details and click on the next button.
- Similarly, Fill applicant’s employment details and click on the next button.
- Thereafter, fill applicant’s Identity details and click on the Submit Button.
- Now You will be received an sms on the registered mobile number.
- Printed UDID Card will be sent to the PwDs at their Postal Address as and when printed (The process of printing the card is yet to start; will be intimated on the website).
