- Heart Surgery: Rs. 1.25 lakh
- Kidney Surgery / Dialysis: Rs. 3.50 lakh
- Cancer Surgery / Chemotherapy / Radiotherapy: Rs. 1.75 lakh
- Brain Surgery: Rs. 1.50 lakh
- Kidney / Organ Transplant: Rs. 3.50 lakh
- Spinal Surgery: Rs. 1.00 lakh
- Other life-threatening diseases: Rs. 1.00 lakh
Dr. Ambedkar Medical Aid Scheme
The Dr. Ambedkar Medical Aid Scheme provides medical treatment facilities to persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes for patients suffering from serious diseases requiring kidney, heart, liver, cancer, and brain surgery or any other life-threatening diseases including knee surgery and spine surgery. To do, whose annual family income is Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum. and will be implemented through the following hospitals:
- All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.
- Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
- Patna Medical College Hospital, Patna, Bihar.
- Jabalpur Hospital and Research Centre, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
- B. Barua Cancer Institute, Guwahati, Assam.
- Birla Heart Foundation, Kolkata, West Bengal.
- Kalinga Hospital Ltd. Chandrashekharpur, Bhubaneswar, Orissa.
- All Hospitals are recognized by State Government.
- All Hospitals are fully funded by either the Central Government or the State Governments.
- All Government Hospitals in District Headquarters/
- Tata Cancer Research Institute, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
- Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
- The Voluntary Health Services, Chennai.
- All CGHS-approved hospitals, as amended from time to time by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

- In exceptional cases where the Chairman is personally convinced of the expediency and justification of the need to cover any hospital outside the sanctioned list, eligible treatment may be approached.
Dr. Ambedkar Medical Aid Scheme Eligibility
Here we are providing Dr. Ambedkar Medical Aid Scheme Eligibility Criteria. Therefore, the applicant is required to read carefully.
- The applicant shall belong to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe community.
- The annual family income shall not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum.
- Those who are suffering from major diseases that require surgery like kidney, heart, liver, cancer, brain or any other life-threatening disease including knee surgery and spinal surgery.
Dr. Ambedkar Medical Aid Scheme Disbursement
Under this scheme, 75 percent of the tax incurred in the treatment is given to the CD Hospital. The maximum limit of which is up to Rs.1,00,000. In case of surgery, 50% of the amount is sent directly to the hospital as the first installment. The remaining 50 percent amount is released to the concerned hospital on submission of the final bill duly permitted by the Medical Superintendent. Apart from this, the estimated cost certificate to be submitted along with the application must contain the date fixed for the surgical operation.

- आय प्रमाण पत्र, जाति प्रमाण पत्र और रोगी के राशन कार्ड की मूल या सत्यापित फोटोकॉपी।
- संबंधित अस्पताल के चिकित्सा अधीक्षक द्वारा विधिवत हस्ताक्षरित मूल अनुमानित लागत प्रमाण पत्र।
- आवेदन को या तो स्थानीय सांसद (लोकसभा या राज्यसभा) या संबंधित जिले के जिला मजिस्ट्रेट और कलेक्टरों / उपायुक्त या राज्य के स्वास्थ्य और समाज कल्याण विभागों के प्रभारी सचिव द्वारा अनुशंसित और अग्रेषित किया जाना चाहिए। /यूटी।
- फाउंडेशन और अन्य स्रोतों से चिकित्सा सहायता उपचार की कुल अनुमानित लागत से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए। इस संबंध में एक प्रमाण पत्र संबंधित अस्पताल के चिकित्सा अधीक्षक से प्राप्त किया जाना चाहिए।
- अनुमानित लागत प्रमाण पत्र, आवेदन के साथ, जहाँ तक संभव हो, सर्जिकल ऑपरेशन के लिए निर्धारित तिथि होनी चाहिए।

Applicants who are going to take benefits from this scheme should have the following documents-
- Copy of Estimate Bill
- Applicant’s Income Certificate, Caste Certificate, and Ration Card original with the photocopy.
- An attested photograph of the patient should be affixed to the Application Form.
How to apply for Dr Ambedkar Medical Aid Scheme?
- आवेदक संबंधित अस्पताल के चिकित्सा अधीक्षक द्वारा विधिवत प्रमाणित निर्धारित आवेदन पत्र में चिकित्सा सहायता के लिए आवेदन करेगा।
- आवेदन प्रारूप को दूसरी तरफ दिया गया है। आवेदन जाति प्रमाण पत्र, आय प्रमाण पत्र, राशन कार्ड और अस्पताल के चिकित्सा अधीक्षक द्वारा विधिवत प्रमाणित उपचार की अनुमानित लागत के साथ प्रस्तुत किया जाना चाहिए।
- आवेदन को संसद के स्थानीय सदस्य (लोकसभा या राज्यसभा) या संबंधित जिले के जिला मजिस्ट्रेट और कलेक्टर / उपायुक्त या राज्य के स्वास्थ्य और समाज कल्याण विभागों के प्रभारी सचिव द्वारा अनुशंसित और अग्रेषित किया जाएगा। /यूटी।
- विधिवत भरा हुआ फॉर्म सर्जरी की तारीख से कम से कम 15 दिन पहले निदेशक, डॉ अंबेडकर फाउंडेशन, 15, जनपथ, नई दिल्ली तक पहुंच जाना चाहिए।
