How to Registration Sahara Refund Portal- The Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) under the Ministry of Cooperatives in the Government of India has successfully launched the Sahara Refund Portal.
This portal is good news for around 10 crore members of the Sahara Group whose investments have been stuck for a long time, as it is designed to give back about Rs. 5,000 crore to them.
The honorable Union Minister for Home & Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, officially started the Sahara Refund Portal on July 18, 2023. The portal is user-friendly, making it easy for people who aren’t very familiar with the internet to retrieve their investments.
What is Sahara Refund Portal
The Sahara Refund Portal has been launched for those investors who have invested in Sahara schemes years back and have completed their tenure but have not received their money back. This portal has been launched as per the direction of the Supreme Court, in which the government has been asked to return the money to the investors before December.
On this portal, investors of Sahara will get complete information about the process of how they will get their money back. Through this portal, the government’s effort is to return the money to the investors in a transparent manner.
Let me tell you, on March 29, 2023, an application was filed by the Ministry of Cooperation to return the money of Sahara investors. After this, the Supreme Court asked the Central Registrar to transfer five thousand crore rupees from the Sahara-SEBI refund account, after which this portal has been launched to refund the money.
Sahara Group’s investors are mostly middle and low-income group people. These belong to several states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh.
How to Registration Sahara Refund Portal?
1. For the Sahara Refund Portal, search the website mocrefund.crcs.gov.in in your browser.
2. Please provide accurate information about the depositor.
3. Please ensure that you have submitted the application form for the Sahara India Refund.
4. The refund amount from Sahara India will be credited to the bank account of the rightful depositor.
How much money will be refunded?
Union Cooperative Minister Amit Shah sent the first Refund Portal on August 4 and this process is going on continuously. Currently, investors are being returned only up to Rs 10,000 on their deposits. Along with this, tell that till August 4, more than 18 lakh people had registered on this portal to get back their money stuck for a long time. Please tell that in the first phase, only those who invested in four societies of Sahara are being refunded.
In these four societies, Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd., Hamara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd. (Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd.), Stars Multipurpose Society Ltd. Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. are included.
