Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana महात्मा ज्योतिबा फुले जन आरोग्य योजना (MJPJAY) is a state health scheme in Maharashtra. It provides end-to-end cashless services for identified diseases. beforehand, it was known as Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana which commenced on 2nd July 2012. It was available in 8 major districts and now it has been expanded by the Maharashtra government and now it’s available in 28 districts.

Categories Description of Beneficiaries
Category A Eligible Interested households will be identified with valid Yellow, Orange, Antyodaya, and Annapurna ration cards along with any photo identity card that has been finalized).
Category B Eligibility for farmers from 14 agriculturally afflicted districts of Maharashtra will be apparent based on a white ration card with 7/12 extract carriage the name of the beneficiary/head of the family or a certificate from the closet Revenue Officer stating that the beneficiary is a farmer or a family member of a farmer with valid photo ID proof of the beneficiary.
Category C The eligibility of beneficiaries would be decided on the basis of any identity card/health card or any other identification mechanism as decided by the State Health Assurance Society (SHAS).

Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana Card Online Application

  • To start the application for the family in this scheme one has to visit the Arogyamitra or General Hospital.
  • If you go to a government health facility, you will be given a referral card. By that, you will be able to start the further process.
  • You can also get a referral card by participating in the health camp organized by the network hospital.
  • You can also get your Annapurna card made instead of your ration card.
  • After this, when you provide all the Jawari, then its diagnosis and investigation will be started.
  • Based on the diagnosis, you will be admitted to a network hospital.
  • An e-authorization request will be sent to the insurance company and will also be reviewed by MJPJAY.
  • The insurance company and MJPJAY’s medical experts will review the authorization request and approve the request if all conditions are met. This authorization will be done in 24 hours and immediately after the emergency with the authorization will be marked as “EM”.
  • Once the permission is approved, you will be given the facility of cashless treatment or hospitalization.
  • The hospital will send all original bills, diagnostic reports, discharge summaries, and other relevant documents to the insurance company for settlement of the claim.
  • The insurance company will review the documents and approve the claim and make payment to the hospital.
  • The network hospital will provide free consultation, medicines, and diagnostics under the scheme for 10 days from the date of discharge.
